The application, Visual Stimulation, focuses on enhancing the visual experience of newborns, catering specifically to both parents and their young children.

The interface of this application is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive. Users can easily switch images by tapping the screen, while accessing the navigation menu requires a simple swipe from the left edge of the device. The menu can be dismissed by tapping elsewhere on the screen. Additionally, the app allows users to configure a slideshow feature, enabling images to be shuffled and displayed for a specified duration.

Included in the app are fifteen high-contrast images tailored for optimal visual stimulation.

Research has consistently shown that high-contrast visuals effectively capture the attention of newborns. This is attributed to the underdeveloped state of infants' visual systems, which can benefit from exposure to simple black and white images featuring recognizable shapes. Such visuals not only aid in familiarization with new objects but also provide parents with brief moments of respite amidst the demands of caregiving.

It is important to note that newborns can focus best at a distance of approximately 30-35 cm (12-14 inches), making this app particularly well-suited for their developmental stage.
